Free 1st Grade End-of-Year Math Review & Final Assessment PDF
Review the main Grade 1 math skills with a 31-page printable PDF containing 70 focused review questions, a 30-question final assessment, and complete answers at the back.
The seven review sections cover numbers and place value, addition and subtraction, equations and unknowns, word problems, place-value operations, measurement, time, data, geometry, and equal shares.
One combined PDF · US Letter · 100 questions · Complete answer key included
What's included?
The resource begins with a short guide and review map, followed by seven focused review sections. Each section contains 10 questions and points back to the matching MathLattice Grade 1 lessons.
After the review, students complete a 30-question cumulative final assessment across four pages. All answers are grouped at the very back so students can work first and check later.
Informal practice assessment — not a standardized test. The optional raw score out of 30 can help identify skills to revisit, but it should not be treated as a standardized grade-level rating.

Seven focused Grade 1 review sections
Numbers & Place Value
Count and read numbers to 120, work with tens and ones, compare numbers, and use 10 more or 10 less.
Addition & Subtraction Within 20
Use make-10, doubles, near doubles, related facts, fact families, and subtraction strategies.
Equations, Unknowns & Three Addends
Find missing numbers, keep equations balanced, use number bonds, and add three numbers within 20.
Word Problems Within 20
Represent joining, separating, comparing, missing-part, and three-addend stories with equations.
Operations with Place Value
Add using tens and ones, add a one-digit number to a two-digit number, and work with multiples of 10.
Measurement, Time & Data
Measure with equal-sized units, compare lengths, read clocks to the hour and half hour, and interpret simple data.
Geometry & Equal Shares
Describe 2D and 3D shapes, compose and decompose shapes, and reason about halves and fourths.
30-question final assessment
The four-page assessment mixes the main Grade 1 skills after the focused review. Students write, draw, compare, calculate, measure, read a clock and data display, and explain selected answers.
Use the score diagnostically. A raw score can show which skills deserve another look. It is not a standardized or norm-referenced Grade 1 score.
How to use the pack
- Review one section at a time. Use the lesson links when a skill needs another explanation or worked example.
- Complete the final assessment after the review. There is no required time limit; short sessions and breaks are fine.
- Let reading support the math. A grown-up may read directions aloud without suggesting the operation or answer.
- Check only after working. All 100 answers are grouped at the back of the PDF.
